The Opportunity

Ejendals is now recruiting a Director Product Management – Footwear, a newly established and strategically important role with responsibility for product management of the JALAS® footwear category across the Nordics, Europa, and the United States. This is a high-impact position that combines strategic ownership with commercial leadership, offering significant scope for professional growth within a stable and ambitious organization.

The role reports to the Chief Product and Marketing Officer, is part of the Product and Marketing leadership team, and plays a key role in driving the overall strategy for Product Management & Marketing across the organization.

This position is based in Stockholm and requires regular travel.

Key Responsibilities

• The Director Product Management – Footwear will:
• Lead the product management function for footwear, overseeing the full lifecycle from concept to launch, sales maximisation and phase out
• Manage, develop and coach a team of five Product Managers
• Strengthen collaboration and efficiency within the team and across key functions, including sales, supply, product development and marketing
• Drive product training initiatives for internal teams and external partners
• Collaborate closely with R&D and Innovation to ensure new products meet market needs and Ejendals’ high standards for safety, comfort, and design
• Continuous work on the development of the JALAS® brand identity, including design and product positioning
• Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and external stakeholders to ensure global alignment and commercial success
• Travel regularly to gain market insights and build strong relationships with customers and partners

Qualifications

Ejendals is looking for a commercially driven product leader with an international mindset and a collaborative approach. The ideal candidate is structured, communicative, and thrives in a dynamic, entrepreneurial yet grounded environment.

• Minimum five years of experience leading qualified teams
• Background in product management withing a manufacturing environment
• Proven ability to define and position products based on market needs
• International experience and strong cross-cultural communication skills
• Experience in product marketing, sales, and/or customer insights
• Relevant academic background
• Fluent in English

Experience in PPE or footwear is a plus but not required. More important is a strong curiosity and the ability to quickly and thoroughly understand the safety footwear segment, driving product excellence across the organization.
