Product Portfolio Manager – Chemical Protection

Do you want to play a key role in helping our sales and marketing teams win in the market?

At Ejendals, we are committed to protecting hands and feet in demanding working environments. Through our product brands JALAS® and TEGERA®, we combine expertise, innovation and real-world understanding to help prevent injuries, improve performance and create safer workplaces across Europe and beyond.

We are looking for a commercially driven Portfolio Manager to lead the strategic development of our chemical protection glove portfolio and unlock its full sales potential.

About the role

As Portfolio Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the product and assortment portfolio. You will combine chemical understanding with strong commercial insight, ensuring that the assortment is strategically managed, developed, and positioned in a way that is both easy and profitable to sell. A key part of the role is translating product benefits into compelling sales arguments and clear commercial strategies.

You will be part of a strong cross-functional team and work closely with two key functions:

  • Conceptual Product Manager: Together, you will shape the direction of the portfolio by aligning commercial objectives with product concepts and innovation priorities.
  • Chemical Expert: The Chemical Expert provides specialist support for complex customer questions and contributes technical expertise to ensure that the assortment meets strict market and regulatory requirements.

Training sales teams and customers will be a shared responsibility between you and the Chemical Expert. You will own commercial and strategic messaging, while the Chemical Expert will provide training on the technical and regulatory aspects of chemical protection.

Main responsibilities

  • Strategic portfolio development: Lead the development, lifecycle management, and optimization of the existing assortment, and identify opportunities for new products based on market needs.
  • Market and competitor analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer purchasing behavior to strengthen and proactively develop the portfolio’s market position.
  • Commercial positioning: Turn chemical properties and technical data into clear customer value propositions, sales arguments, and supporting materials.
  • Launch and sales support: Develop go-to-market plans and equip sales and marketing teams with the tools, training, and messaging they need to succeed.
  • Technical collaboration: Collaborate with the Chemical Expert to ensure accurate product recommendations and regulatory compliance.
  • Profitability: Drive pricing strategies and monitor portfolio margins to secure strong profitability across sales channels.

Your profile

We are looking for a commercially minded professional with a solid background in chemistry and a strong ability to connect portfolio strategy, market insight, and sales execution.

  • University degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, or another relevant scientific or technical field.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience as a Commercial Portfolio Manager, Product Manager, Category Manager, or in a comparable commercially focused marketing role.
  • Proven experience working closely with sales organizations, with a focus on business development, positioning, and sales enablement.
  • Experience from PPE, industrial manufacturing, or the chemical industry is considered a strong advantage.
  • Strategic, analytical, communicative, and comfortable balancing long-term portfolio development with immediate commercial priorities.
  • Fluent business English, both spoken and written. Swedish or another European language is advantageous.

Why Ejendals?

At Ejendals, you will work with strong brands, innovative products and a clear purpose: making workplaces safer. You will join an international company where collaboration, innovation and customer value are at the heart of everything we do.
